Acknowledgments & sources

ClassicBooksPress.com honors the tireless labor of the open-knowledge community. Our library is drawn from the remarkable archives of Standard Ebooks, Wikisource and Project Gutenberg, and every edition is re-typeset and checked by our editors. We are profoundly grateful for their dedication to preserving humanity’s literary heritage in the public domain.

ClassicBooksPress.com is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these projects. Each book’s page names its source and licence. Texts from Wikisource are shared under CC BY-SA 4.0; our punctuation and layout changes to those texts are shared under the same licence.

The library

44 books today, in English and Classical Chinese, growing steadily toward a library of thousands.
